Cath gives her winner’s speech after ‘The mysterious case of the sinking flamingo’ gets a SWIG Award. Given that SWIG is the Sustainable Water Industry Group and looks at all aspects of water within the built environment, it is the perfect award for the book.
So much so that Cath got a bit emotional before regaling the audience of water and building industry professionals with the tale of how Bristol Zoo turned down her pitch of an adventurous flamingo and a crab who doesn’t like poo on its head because they wanted the gorillas to be the stars, and so the book was born!
