Sustainable retrofit of the built environment starts with a fabric first approach. To this end the Green Deal will be introduced in October 2012 to drive the retrofit of the UK’s buildings. This one-day course looks at how best to improve the performance of the UK’s building stock, especially solid wall, hard to treat buildings, and uses examples of recent refurbishment projects to show what works best and where.
